Abstract

Introduction: Tracking the female population means analyzing, looking for women who have not had contact with the virus and observing the exact moment through illness. Especially in monitoring the evolution of these women based on treatment. Objective: To analyze the follow-up of abnormal and suspected cases of cervical cancer in women treated at Family Health Units in the city of João Pessoa-PB. Methods: This is a descriptive study with a quantitative approach, which used secondary data from SISCAN through the Municipal Health Secretariat of João Pessoa-PB, in the year 2015. Data from women with suspected and confirmed UCC changes participated in the study. . Cases with benign results and incomplete data in SISCAN were excluded. Results: 471 women were analyzed, from 15 to over 64 years old. Among these, 63.90% underwent the Cytopathological exam and 36.10% the Histopathological exam. Among the changes, 46.28% had LSIL as the main cause. 30.14% repeated the cytopathology and 34.18 performed the colposcopy. Only 1.06 underwent CAF and 1.06 underwent Hysterectomy as treatment. Final Considerations: SISCAN should be viewed as a system of great relevance for monitoring these suspected and confirmed cases, with the objective of guiding preventive actions. The study made it possible to analyze the profile of the CCU follow-ups of women in the city of João Pessoa, being able to assist the municipal management in planning actions aimed at improving the health of this population.
