Abstract

This analysis aims to construct the historical and social trajectory of hate crimes in Brazil, as well as to offer inferences about possible pathways for mental health care from a psychological perspective. One of these pathways is to consider the training of professionals to work in the field of multiple forms of violence, especially those affecting young people. Analyzing how hate crimes take shape and are put into practice, as well as the proliferation of spaces where these actions are glorified today, is also within the scope of this work.
