Abstract
The objective of this study is to analyze the importance of teacher training in the digital age, as well as the challenges and opportunities in the use of technologies and artificial intelligence in education. However, to achieve this objective, a literature review was conducted using academic search engines such as Scielo, Decs, and Google Scholar, using the following descriptors: Teacher Training. Technology. Artificial Intelligence. Education. The selected studies support the discussion of this study, as presented below. At the end of this study, it was possible to highlight the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational practices, emphasizing its potential to improve teaching and learning, especially at the university level. The study successfully examined the effectiveness of AI in pedagogical contexts, highlighting the importance of teacher training to maximize its benefits. While the results suggest promising improvements in educational outcomes, they also require a more systematic and critical exploration of AI applications to fully realize its potential in education. This work emphasizes the complex nature of the topic regarding the effective integration of AI in the educational sphere and advocates for further research that explores the challenges and opportunities presented by AI technologies in education.
