Abstract
This work brings together studies on comprehensive education in Brazil and in the Portuguese-speaking African Countries (PALOP), presenting experiences, theoretical reflections, and analyses of educational practices. The chapters discuss curriculum, civic education, and social challenges that permeate the educational process. With an interdisciplinary approach, the authors highlight the role of education in valuing African and Afro-Brazilian cultures. The collection aims to broaden the debate on education as an instrument of social transformation and human development.
