Abstract
Treatment for panic disorder may include several approaches, such as psychological therapy, medication, and complementary practices. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) has been gaining ground, with Flower Therapy being recognized by the World Health Organization. Although flower remedies do not replace conventional medical treatments, their use may bring benefits. This study analyzed the efficacy of flower therapy in a group of women with panic disorder, belonging to the “Di Vida” group, in Muriaé, MG. Eight medical records were examined, considering age, complaints, flower formulas prescribed, and results after 1 and 6 months of treatment. The results showed a significant reduction in panic attacks; a 35-year-old patient went from 14 attacks to 4 per month, while another 38-year-old patient achieved complete remission. In addition to flower therapy, the incorporation of meditation and the reduction in the use of psychotropic medications highlighted the importance of holistic approaches. Personalized floral formulas, such as Calm Formula, Quimera, Somatis and Depress, were shown to be effective, resulting in significant improvements in patient complaints in both evaluation periods. The data indicate that floral therapy can be a valuable tool in the treatment of emotional disorders, promoting improvements in quality of life. It is essential to continue research on these integrative approaches to strengthen scientific knowledge and improve mental health care strategies.
