Abstract
To describe nursing care for children with autism spectrum disorder. This is an integrative literature review study, with a qualitative and descriptive nature. Data collection was performed through online access in the following databases: Scientific Electronic Library Online (SCIELO) e virtual health library (VHL). From the literature search on the proposed theme of the study, eight articles were selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, in the period from 2019 to 2021, in relation to nursing care for autistic children. Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a disorder that is identified in early childhood, compromising communication, imagination and social interaction. Given the perspective presented, the nursing professional has an essential role in the care of patients with autism spectrum disorder.
