Abstract
Objective: To review aspects related to the support offered to family members of children in the Intensive Care Unit. Method: Integrative literature review, carried out on the Online Scientific Electronic Library (SciELO), Latin American and Caribbean Literature on Health Sciences (LILACS) and on academic Google. Eight publications on the subject were found, which were read in full and analyzed in detail. Results: After reading, the results showed that inserting the family in care is something difficult, due to fear and insecurity that surrounds them. The health team can support you as a facilitator, listening, empathizing, explaining the procedures that are taking place and reassuring the family. Conclusion: The family needs clarification, guidance and multidisciplinary care, aiming to calm down and allow greater access to child care.
