THE IMPORTANCE OF TRAINING FOR BOILER OPERATORS IN AGROINDÚSTRIAS RONDONIENSE CONSIDERING NR - 13

Abstract

The role of Boiler Operator in industries in Rondônia, for its productive performance and worker safety in their daily activities, requires solid knowledge of the working principles of the thermal machine known as Boiler, as mentioned by BOTELHO and BIFANO (2011), pg. 141: “NR 13 establishes that operators must have a course on techniques for using this equipment”. In addition, in consideration of the authors, this activity is regulated by the Regulatory Norm number thirteen (NR 13) issued by the Ministry of Labor and Employment. Given this premise, this work contributes with information contained in the NR13 Standard and operating practices developed by some authors, through boiler manuals, technical standards, articles and training handouts. Considering technical visits and instructions to teams in industries in the state of Rondônia, it was noticed the need to improve the training of the teams responsible for the operation of the boilers, since the vast majority of workers develop their activities with practical knowledge passed on by the owners of small industries, as well as com, by maintenance mechanics. Thus, considering the great risk to the well-being of workers, as well as the material damage that a possible explosion of the mechanism can cause due to lack of training and adequate operating instructions, this work was developed in order to present guidelines for operating procedures as well as the impact of training a Boiler Operation team in a company in the municipality of JiParaná.
