Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy is one of the most important moments in a woman’s life, as it is the moment when the whole organism goes through a process of adaptation, of physical and psychological transformations. At this time, all the body’s systems undergo changes, and for the body to meet the needs of the pregnant woman and the fetus, the functioning requires more effort so that the demands are met. During pregnancy, a woman is more vulnerable. With regard to the new coronavirus, the risk of worsening maternal health is triple and when associated with comorbidities such as heart disease, attention needs to be redoubled, as the coronavirus can cause several risks to the health of the pregnant woman. Objective: To show what care the multidisciplinary team should offer to pregnant women with heart disease during the Covid-19 pandemic. Methodology: This study is a descriptive research, of the integrative literature review type, of a descriptive-exploratory nature, carried out to evidence through the scientific literature answers about the following guiding question: What are the main cares of the multidisciplinary team should offer to pregnant women with heart disease during the Covid-19 pandemic? To carry out the research, a bibliographic survey was carried out in the SCIELO and BDENF databases. Upon application of the established criteria and reading in full, the number of articles for the sample totaled 7. Results and Discussions: According to literature analysis, some important points were identified, as well as the main consequences caused by covid-19 to pregnant women with heart disease. In the first instance, the literature showed that when in contact with the virus, the pregnant woman is more prone to rapid contagion, which can progress to health problems and risks. From scientific evidence that pregnant women with heart disease are likely to have a higher risk of serious cardiac complications. In this sense, the multidisciplinary team should pay maximum attention to any type of hemodynamic changes presented by these pregnant women. The main signs manifested by pregnant women during the time they were infected by the virus are electrolyte imbalance, decreased cardiac output, impaired spontaneous ventilation and nausea. Final Considerations: The care provided by the multidisciplinary team was evidenced, as an important role in monitoring and preventing diseases for the mother and the baby. Therefore, in the face of all this situation, health education is still the main source of disease prevention and health problems. Thus, guidance on adherence to the prevention measures proposed by the Ministry of Health is essential.
