Abstract

The present work is intended to study and reflect on the characteristics of the challenges and perspectives of evaluation and learning in higher education, seeking to assess which conceptions higher education addresses about the pedagogical practices that teachers currently develop and how these practices can contribute for the improvement and development of the educational area, proposing the growth of knowledge and learning to students. With the demands that the job market requires today, the teacher in the educational area is seeking every day to qualify for the best professional development, generating an intensive search for awakening students through research, technology and learning, thus guaranteeing great knowledge and enjoyment of studies. As theoretical support, we used the knowledge of authors who approach in their works, Nóvoa, 1997, Nunes and Cabral, 2010, Balzan, 2002 among others. The present work contributes to new reflections on the challenges that the education professional faces nowadays, the pedagogical practice of the teacher and the demands that the market has on the area of education.
