CHALLENGES FOR CHILD HEALTH CARE IN PRIMARY CARE

Abstract

Introduction: Ensuring adequate and comprehensive care for children at this stage of life is a complex task, full of multiple challenges that require continuous efforts to be overcome. Understanding these barriers is critical to finding effective solutions that can significantly improve the quality of child care and help achieve more favorable health indicators for children. This study is justified by its academic, scientific and social relevance, based on presenting updates, evidence and the main outcomes related to children's health in primary care. Thus, the initial proposal focuses on stimulating a discussion and critical analysis regarding scientific evidence. Objective: To investigate in the scientific literature, the main existing challenges in the promotion of children's health in Primary Care. Methodology: The methodology selected for the basis of this study was the integrative literature review, with a descriptive approach, carried out through a survey of data in the scientific bases: LILACS, SCIELO and BDENF. Results and Discussion: Addressing the challenges presented in the results will require joint efforts by governments, health professionals and communities to invest in education, adequate infrastructure and public policies aimed at improving the health of children from an early age. Only an integrated, prevention-oriented approach can guarantee a healthier future for younger generations. Conclusion: By examining the challenges of pediatric care, this research highlights the need to stimulate discussion and awareness about the importance of continuous investment and well-structured public policies in primary care.
