Abstract
Interdisciplinarity presents itself as “the most appropriate remedy for cancerization or the general pathology of knowledge”. “Interdisciplinarity is characterized by the intensity of exchanges between specialists and the degree of real integration of disciplines within the same research project.” The term interdisciplinarity does not yet have a unique and stable meaning, however, the definition above can be considered a principle of its numerous terminological distinctions. Therefore, it is concluded that interdisciplinarity has been considered by several authors as an alternative to achieving development of thinking that responds to the complexity that characterizes the current world, with its challenges. Among them are health problems. A new model of health care has been proposed and to achieve this, changes are necessary in the training system for health professionals.
