IMPORTANCE OF MULTIPROFESSIONAL CARE COMPLEX

Abstract

The importance of the multidisciplinary team lies in care from several different perspectives, identification and monitoring of diseases through a specialized multidisciplinary approach, which requires assistance that, in addition to being specific to each individual, seeks to understand, accentuate and improve symptoms triggered by a specific illness. The sharing of different experiences by each professional who makes up the team has a common purpose of recovering the patient’s health and reinserting them back into their family, professional, social, among others, in a period that is brief and appropriate. It is clear that the work routine and the experience gained in assisting terminally ill patients require these professionals to reflect on their practices and conceptions and, thus, give new meaning to the care provided. With this, they begin to understand death as a natural event in life and the importance of the multidisciplinary team to guarantee quality of life and comfort for the patient and their family.
