Abstract
Introduction: The globe is being affected by a SARS-CoV-2 virus pandemic, this disease is a threat to public health, directly interfering with the economic coffers and activities of the society that suffers from the outbreak. The impacts caused by the COVID-19 pandemic directly affect the public health and economy of the world population, thus standing out as a public health emergency of international interest, as indicated by the International Health Regulations, based on the above scenario, health professionals health follow some guiding guidelines that are of great importance within the scope of these variants. The fight of professionals against covid-19 aims to protect the population as a whole in order to save lives. Objective: To identify the main care taken by health professionals, in the fight against the new variants of the coronavirus. Method: This is an integrative literature review, the searches for the study took place in the scientific databases: LILACS, PUBMED AND SCIELO. Through the bibliographic survey, the applicability of the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 84 articles related to the theme emerged in the databases. Being distributed in, 32 in PUBMED, 11 in LILACS and 41 in SCIELO. By reading the texts in full, assessing whether the works met the proposed objectives, 9 studies were selected to compose the final sample. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: According to the assistance provided and the arrival of variants, care needs to be redoubled in terms of contact with the infected patient. The prevention measures imposed by the Ministry of Health must be carried out with great caution, in order to avoid any aggravation to the patient, knowing that the hospital sector is a gateway for different types of infections and contagion of pathologies. Final Considerations: This integrative review was carried out to highlight the hard work of health professionals in combating variants of covid-19, as well as the main assistance provided by the team. The present study showed that health has gone through great difficulties during the last 3 years, and health professionals have had to face great obstacles, including the fear of death.
