CHILD’S HEALTH NURSING CONSULTATION: : REVIEW STUDY

Abstract

Introduction: The nursing consultation is anchored to methodologies for its organization, the main and used in Brazil, is the Nursing Care Systematization (SAE), which has the nursing process as an instrument. In this context, nursing consultation is essential to ensure effective care for the child’s health, carrying out prevention, promotion, diagnostics and implementing measures for the perpetuation of care. Objective: To describe the nursing consultation and its stages in child care. Methodology: Study based on readings on the topic, being characterized as a literature review, consisting of 12 articles related to the subject. The articles were selected according to inclusion and exclusion criteria, in which data were collected in the period from April to May of 2019. The articles were read in full, and the findings were described in a clear and organized manner. Results: The nursing consultation is guided by this instrument, which consists of five stages in the assessment of the child: 1-Data collection, which includes the physical examination and the nursing history, 2- Nursing Diagnosis, in which there is a clinical judgment of the child’s conditions that were found in the investigation of data collection and during the physical examination, 3- Planning- The organization of nursing actions takes place, under the coordination of the nurse, organizing the expected findings and interventions problematized in step 2, referring to the diagnosis. 4- Implementation, in this step, the nurse, along with his team, will carry out the actions planned for the child during the consultation, these actions can be of short, medium or long term. Finally, the 5- Assessment, aims to analyze all aspects that have been carried out with the child, from the data collected to the actions implemented and carried out with him and his family. Final Considerations: It is understood that the nursing consultation is considered essential for the child’s development, in this consultation, several aspects are evaluated, and as perceived, from this evaluation, measures are taken to promote the child’s health.
